Values Challenge

Welcome to the Values Challenge!
It’s an exciting programme that helps children learn and live the UAE’s core
values through practical, hands-on challenges.
The 8 challenges cover Tradition & Heritage, Family, Leadership, Generosity,
Tolerance & Respect, Sustainability & Environment, Excellence and Innovation.
Children take part in these activities at home, at school and in their community - making values real in their everyday lives.

The Values Challenge was created to bring key UAE values to life
for children - beyond the classroom.
We wanted children to experience these values for themselves and connect
them to their families, schools and communities.
It’s all about learning through action and building strong character in a fun and
engaging way.

The Values Challenge has 8 challenges, each linked to a core UAE value.
Children complete these challenges at home, in school or in their community
and record their experiences in a special journal.
Once all 8 challenges are complete, children hand in their journals to the lead
teacher, who keeps them safe until the final celebration ceremony!

The Values Challenge helps children explore and understand the UAE’s core
values in a practical and engaging way.
It encourages family conversations, strengthens school connections and builds
confidence and leadership in every child.
It’s a fun journey that helps children become role models of the UAE’s values.

When children finish all 8 challenges, they hand in their journals to the values
champion - the lead teacher of the programme.
The school then organises a special celebration ceremony, where children
receive their certificates and badges - recognising their hard work and
dedication to living the UAE’s values.

The Values Challenge has four award levels, matched to school year groups:
• Year 3: Adventurer
• Year 4: Path Finder
• Year 5: Achiever
• Year 6: Pioneer
Additionally, the Determined Edition is designed specifically for Students of
Determination who require alternative pathways to success. It includes a focus
on essential life skills, simplified instructions and tailored tasks suitable to their
individual levels and needs, ensuring every child can engage meaningfully with
the challenge and celebrate their achievements.
For schools with different year structures, these awards can be matched to
equivalent age groups in the UAE.
Each award celebrates children’s journey in exploring and living the UAE’s core
values!

The programme has 8 challenges, each focused on a core UAE value:

  1. Tradition & Heritage
  2. Family
  3. Leadership
  4. Generosity
  5. Tolerance & Respect
  6. Sustainability & Environment
  7. Excellence
  8. Innovation

Each challenge is practical, engaging, and designed for children to complete with their families and teachers.

Schools play a key role in the Values Challenge.
They sign up children for the award level that matches their year group.
Once registered, we deliver journals in bulk for the school to distribute - often
on UAE National Day to make it extra special!
Teachers or Challenge Mentors sign off each challenge as children complete them, reward their
progress and at the end of the programme, they hold a special celebration
ceremony to hand out certificates and badges.

Families are central to the Values Challenge.
You can support your child by discussing the values at home, helping them plan
their challenges and encouraging them to share what they’ve learned.
It’s a wonderful way to bring the UAE’s values to life within your family.

The UAE’s values - like generosity, excellence and respect - are at the heart of a
strong and caring society.
By exploring and practising these values, children become future leaders and
role models in their communities.
The Values Challenge helps make these values real and meaningful for every
child.

Here’s how to get started:

  1. Schools sign up children for the right award level and let us know the final number.
  2. We deliver the challenge journals in bulk.
  3. Schools distribute the journals - often on or just before UAE National Day - to launch the programme.
  4. Children complete the 8 challenges, recording their journey in their journals.
  5. At the end, journals are collected by the lead teacher and a special celebration ceremony is held where children receive their certificates and badges.

It’s that simple - let’s get started!
